Our Mission
Excellence isn't achieved through compliance or isolated projects. It comes from the intentional alignment of culture, climate and systems - working together, at the same time, toward the same goal.
Improvement initiatives in isolation don't work. CPD happens, but it doesn't change teaching. Timetables are built, but they haemorrhage budget. Leadership coaching runs in parallel with restructures that undermine it. Most schools aren't short of external support - they're short of joined-up external support.
AlignEd is a partnership of senior education practitioners - former principals, trust leaders, curriculum designers and timetabling specialists - who work as a single team on your school's or trust's challenges. Rob Cooper
Rob was part of London Challenge and then Sheffield Challenge for 7 years, holding roles from Deputy to Executive Head.
Rob specialises in curriculum development and timetabling to support learning and progress and raise standards. He has worked with schools across England and Wales and been involved with over 250 timetable constructions.
Paul Cuff
Paul's background in computer science and data led him to the education sector, where he has supported schools across the country and has been timetabling for twenty-five years.
Paul's expertise is in curriculum modelling, Year 10 and post-16 options processes, and whole-school timetabling; he enjoys the challenge of timetabling and finding solutions to problems that scheduling often throws up.
Gordon Smith
Gordon was a secondary Principal for fourteen years before establishing and growing a successful multi-academy trust covering nursery to A level. He has significant board experience both in the education and commercial sectors.
Gordon specialises in the leadership and governance of all aspects of school and trust work, providing support on curriculum and financial planning, organisational structures and effective governance.
Katie Turner
Katie’s career spans primary and secondary teaching, senior leadership and executive positions, including Director of Education and Interim CEO, in a successful multi academy trust.
Katie’s expertise is in developing exceptional curriculum content and teaching approaches, in school improvement, leadership development and quality assurance. She provides support that leads to improved quality, capacity and capability.
AlignEd is also able to call on a range of practitioner associates with specialisms in leadership, curriculum and pedagogy.
